Jolly LLB 3

I watched Jolly LLB 3 in the week after it was released. I have the memory of enjoying the part one where Arshad Warsi played the lead role. I have the memory of not disliking the second one where Akshay Kumar played the lead role so I was open to watching it if circumstances arise. It so happened that my by afternoon, my evening engagements were rescheduled and when I searched for local listing of movies, this was the one which came out as winner (showing close to my home, timing matching, no major violence, not part of series where stories are coupled etc). So I went to watch the Jolly LLB 3 with my family.

I have almost stopped going to the movie theatres and keeping track of what is being released and when. With people talking or phone ringing or randomly timed intermissions, movie watching has become a group activity. I like movie-going as a group activity but movie-watching is 1:1 experience imo. This also slowly led to me loosing track of new movie releases.

I was pleased to hear about the announcement of JL3 and that both AW and AK will be co-lead. Like earlier installments, this too had a David vs Goliath feel. SS is great as a judge. Good to see GR in a villain role. Like every other AK movie lately, there is preaching and more dialogues then necessary (I have observed more dialogues than necessary is all the Bwood movies lately) but these are of short duration that movie keeps progressing. If you have time and no other demands on time, this can be a good option.

I enjoyed the experience of watching the movie. While I had the expectations appropriately set, I also think that weekday night shows probably attract the crowd which is there to see the movie and not just fill the weekend time with some activity. The audio in theatre was great. I tried for the first time 1+1 on BMS with ICICI card. So overall a good one.
